Run and Hide

I'm not going to stay at home and pout."

Run and hide. Two words most of us long to do when things get a little harder. In the past year or two, I yearned to run to a cave and just hide from everything for the rest of my life. It seemed like the only thing I could and wanted to do at that time, but it is one of the worst decisions a person could ever make–turning your back on all the work you’ve done, giving up, and quitting all because it challenges you more than you’ve expected it to or life isn’t turning out however you want it to.

You can avoid hitting rock bottom, but if you end up in that place despite all things, you have to accept it and move on. Get back up and start over, just like how a child who’s just starting to walk always trips and falls, he or she gets back up and keeps trying to learn how to walk. It’s going to be an enduring battle or a fresh new beginning for you, but either way, do not run and hide from the obstacles you come across. They’ve been put in your path because you can overcome every single one of them and help you become a better person in the end. Like Tim Duncan had said, “Good, better, best. Never let it rest. Until your good is better and your better is best.” Always strive to be a better you.
