State No. 2: Hawaii (Road to Hana, Maui)

"Ua Mau ke Ea o ka 'Āina i ka Pono"
(Hawaiian for "The life of the land is perpetuated in righteousness")

Now that we're already halfway into the summer season, I've decided to share the second of three posts from my family's trip to Hawaii. This one was such a crazy adventure that they literally sell shirts that say "Road to Hana Survivor" and I am a proud owner of one. From the dangerous, never-ending, winding mountainside roads that consists of countless turns and one lane bridges to beaches and waterfalls, it all wraps up in such a unique experience that you will never forget. If you are ever on the island of Maui with a group of people, this should be on your itinerary...and on your bucket list to do at least once in your life. Download or buy a guide because it will be the only thing you'll have as a reference throughout the trip since there is absolutely no cellular reception in the area. Also, there's a saying that goes, "It's not about the destination, it's about the journey to get there." So, visit all the stops the guide says, it is called the Road to Hana for a reason.

PS: Drive carefully!
